Joyce is a phD student at the University of Toronto, specializing in community music education.

Proficient in both violin and piano, she is passionate about accessible music education for children with special needs and has worked in various facilities, including the Hospital for Sick Children, Canadian Mental Health Association, and the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine.

Joyce has acquired immense experience in music education, working with students in the Royal Conservatory of Music and Suzuki curriculums, along with contemporary works for recitals.

Currently, Joyce is an avid music researcher with publications in the "Canadian Music Education Journal," "Activities, Adaptations, and Aging," and "Music Therapy Perspectives."

She has also presented music and health research in conferences such as "the International Community Music Conference" and "the International Association of Music and Medicine."
