An in-home piano lesson means the teacher comes to you. Instead of driving to a studio or someone else’s home, your child learns right in the comfort of your own space. It’s convenient, time-saving, and stress-free, all while getting the same high-quality instruction you'd expect from a traditional music school.

Your child’s safety is our top priority. We've been teaching in-home piano lessons for 14 years with zero issues and all of our teachers undergo a criminal background check through the Toronto Police or York Regional Police before joining our team.

In addition to being thoroughly vetted, our teachers are experienced professionals who are passionate about music and deeply committed to creating a positive, respectful learning environment for every child.

We also require that a parent or guardian be present in the home during each lesson, so you can always feel confident and at ease.

We currently offer in-home piano lessons to families in Vaughan, Richmond Hill, and Markham.

We offer 1-on-1 piano lessons during the following hours:

• Monday to Friday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM

• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

If you have multiple children enrolled, we schedule back-to-back lesson times plus an additional sibling discount for added convenience, saving both time and travel for you and the teacher.

Children can begin private one-on-one lessons as early as age 4, but we typically recommend starting around age 5 or 6.

Every child is different, their maturity level and ability to focus for a sustained period play a big role in determining readiness. If you're unsure, we’re happy to help assess during your consultation.

On average, students stay with us for 5 to 7 years. Many begin at a young age and continue all the way through high school.

When students do stop, it's usually for one of two reasons:

1. Competitive extracurriculars like dance, swimming, or gymnastics take over their schedule.

2. They graduate high school and head off to university, often in a different city or province.

We’re proud to build long-term relationships with our students and their families. It’s not uncommon for us to see them grow from little kids to young adults ready for their next chapter.

Yes, your child will need an instrument at home in order to begin in-home lessons. We strongly recommend starting with a digital piano with 88 weighted keys. This closely mimics the feel of an acoustic piano, ensuring proper finger strength and technique development.

Important:

• Avoid keyboards without weighted keys - they can create poor playing habits

• Choose 88-key models only - shorter keyboards limit advancement

If you’re unsure which model to choose, we’d be happy to recommend trusted brands and local retailers during your consultation.

Like a private school, your annual tuition is divided into equal monthly payments: 10 payments (September–June) covering 35 lessons, and 2 payments (July–August) covering 6 lessons.

You do not pay for lessons during holidays or studio breaks. Your monthly rate stays consistent year-round, with all breaks already factored into the tuition structure.

Tuition is all-inclusive and covers:

• Weekly one-on-one lessons in your home with a professionally trained instructor

• Personalized lesson planning and teacher prep between sessions

• All method books, theory materials, and supplemental resources (provided and updated as needed)

• Digital learning apps and online resources

• 2 flexible lessons per year (use as penalty-free absences or bonus lessons if you attend all 35)

• Studio operating costs including insurance, professional development, and travel

Yes , we offer a Sibling Discount to families with multiple children enrolled:

• Enroll 2 students – get $25 off per month

• Enroll 3 students – get $50 off per month

This discount applies to both 10-month and 2-month billing plans.

Before committing to our in-home piano program, all parents must complete a free in-home consultation, which includes a brief 15-minute trial to ensure there's a good fit for parent, student, and teacher.

Our teachers are experienced, passionate, and carefully selected, so we’re confident they’ll build a great connection with your child from the very first lesson.

We do not offer make-ups, credits, or refunds for missed lessons. Your child's time slot is reserved exclusively for your family each week, and in-home lessons make rescheduling difficult due to travel logistics and tightly planned teaching routes.

Your tuition includes 2 penalty-free absences per year. If your child attends all 35 lessons, these become bonus lessons(a $190 value) at no extra cost.

Teacher cancellations receive full credit at the prorated rate.

There are no long-term contracts here! Tuition is month-to-month, and we don't charge a cancellation fee. You may withdraw at any time by providing written notice before your next billing cycle begins.

Once a month starts, tuition is non-refundable regardless of attendance. This helps us maintain stable scheduling for all families.

Students who begin lessons partway through the month will receive a prorated first invoice if only 1-2 weeks are remaining in that month:

• 1 week remaining: Monthly tuition ÷ 4 × 1

• 2 weeks remaining: Monthly tuition ÷ 4 × 2

• 3+ weeks remaining: Full monthly tuition applies

Example: If you begin with 2 weeks remaining in the month at the 45-minute lesson level: $285 ÷ 4 × 2 = $142.50

Regular monthly tuition begins on the 1st of the following month.

No problem! Scheduling for summer lessons is completely flexible. Lessons can follow your regular time slot, be spaced out over the summer, or even condensed into a shorter window (such as 2–3 weeks) to accommodate your travel plans.

For example, you might schedule 3 lessons over two weeks if you’re planning to be away for a full month. Your teacher will work with you directly to find the perfect schedule that fits both your availability and their teaching calendar.
